It is difficult to rate it in a picture. How would you rate it? Also, is it a 13 rounder? I live in MD.

It’s a 13 rd mag so we would just block the magazine to only except 10 or less if your a Marylander.
As far as condition it’s pretty clean. The nickel finish could be polished but it still has some pop to it.
    Hope this helps

    I think it’s 50s or 60s. Not sure yet.
We still have it here. Will let you know if I have more information for you.

For the P.38, the "antler" proof on the left trigger guard has the proof date, last two digits of the year. (e.g. 74 = 1974).
Since this is a commercial pistol (P.38 marking), and has the hex pin and late "fat" slide, it's probably 1975 or later.

"HH" is the date code for 1977 (they switched over to letters around then).
Since there's no S/N on left side of frame, this was a commercial pistol meant for the European marked, where the slide is the "firearm" so the factory S/N should be on right rear of slide.
Depending on who imported it, there may be an engraved S/N from the importer on the right side of frame.

    Great Information.

    There are no import markings
