AR10 Dust Cover??

    So this was the dust cover provided to me in an AR15 upper parts kit from Midway. But as you can see in the photo below, it is longer than a standard AR15 cover, of which I happened to have an extra. Is this for an AR10?? Definitely too long for my MILSPEC flat top upper receiver.

    It could be for an ar 10 or Could be for an xl upper reciever where the ejection port is larger to accommodate larger calibers such as 458 socom, 450 bushmaster ect.

    I'm 99% sure that is for a 308 AR upper. I just measured between the lugs that the dust cover mounts into and the approx. measurements are....
    AR-15 = 3.1" and AR-308 = 3.3"
