I'm planning on going again. Last time I went on Saturday and hated the traffic. Would Sunday be a better day to drive? (Not even considering Friday.)

It depends on which way route you take there, Rt 15 can be OK on either day, but 1 accident will turn it into a parking lot.

I go on Friday afternoons at door's open since it is close to my office.

This year I took advantage of the annual pass. Best money I ever spent just for the convenience. Get there 30 minutes early, relax in my car while everyone else hangs out in line and once I see the head of the line move, get out and walk straight in. No wait, no hassle.

If you do every show or close to it through the year, think about getting the pass if you go frequently. Just for the relaxation of not having to stand in line makes it so worth it.

I'll be there this time for my usual backpack full of magazines and on the prowl for 5.45x39mm, 6.5x55mm and some accessories. And be tempted yet again by stuff that shows up once in a while to turn my head in the C&R department and having license copies handy just in case.

I have never been to this show. Is it worth the drive to VA? The last few shows I have been to were small. This show seems like it is big. Anyone who has gone what did you think?

Decent show for mags and c&r's. Ammo prices tend to be higher than the internet. No idea on modern stuff since it's not what i look for.

Worth the ~1.5 hr drive for me

It’s a big show! Worth going if you have never been. Join or renew your NRA membership to get in for free and skip the line which can be long at times. If you plan on getting some stuff take a back pack to make it easier to carry everything you may find. Plan on 2-3 hours to walk the floor and see everything. Parking is always a problem!

Looking to go right at opening Friday, or maybe Sunday afternoon for the last few hours.

Not looking for anything in particular, but usually grab a PMAG or two.

So, Gun show or do my taxes ....
    :lol2:

I am usually a master of procrastination, but I stayed up late one night earlier this week to bang out my taxes specifically so I could:
    1. Go to THe Nation’s Gun Show on Friday
    2. Shoot AGC/ARPC 3-Gun Saturday
    3. Help at the AGC Cleanup Sunday
    4. Possibly hit TNGS again Sunday afternoon
Pretty proud of myself. :party29: Small victories!

Got here at 4. Parking lot pretty full but I found a spot that apparently no brodozers would fit into.

Started at the left side for a change this time.

Saw 2 Savage 1917's in 380. One looked good with a slight divet in the grips and the other with cracked grips. Tempting, but decided to stay focused on grendel stuff.

Oh, and bought some jerky and a nice NRA camo hat.
