    Anyone thinking they are lazy, stupid, uninformed, etc. has taken the bait...and the hook...and the line...and the sinker...and maybe on their way to swallowing the fishing rod too.
    The not-so-obscure end game is total disarmament of the civilian population, and each little bit gets them closer. It's no secret, don't be delusional. Each state like Maryland, New York,and California is another victory for them. Every little increment, every little infringement, moves the whole ballgame forward toward their socialist Utopia.
    Do NOT underestimate these clowns, everything they do, including the false flag shootings, is for a reason.

    Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and 52 other Republican senators today issued a blistering response to a recent friend of the court brief filed by five Senate Democrats warning the court to back off a 2nd Amendment challenge to a NYC gun law or face “restructuring”.

    The letter to SCOTUS notes that the brief filed by Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse, Kirsten Gillibrand, Mazie Hirono (D-HI), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), and Dick Durbin (D-IL) goes far beyond making a legal argument. It also makes a direct threat to the Court.

    They openly threatened this court with political retribution if it failed to dismiss the petition as moot. The brief’s final paragraph warned: “The Supreme Court is not well. And the people know it. Perhaps the Court can heal itself before the public demands it be ‘restructured in order to reduce the influence of politics.’ Particularly on the urgent issue of gun control, a nation desperately needs it to heal.” The implication is as plain as day: dismiss this case or we’ll pack the Court.



    Judicial independence is under assault. Democrats in Congress, and on the presidential campaign trail, have peddled plans to pack this Court with more justices in order to further their radical legislative agenda. It’s one thing for these politicians to peddle these ideas in tweets or on the stump. But the Democrats’ amicus brief demonstrates that their court packing plans are more than mere pandering. They are a direct immediate threat to the independence of the judiciary and the rights of the American people.

    IMHO those demoRATS need to be removed from the US Senate and charged with extortion and have their day in court.... Then if it could be done throw their el ben dayhole in jail or if the law allows it stand them before a wall. People who belong to congress MUST BE HELD TO THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF CONDUCT while in office!!!

    They'll find a way to fabricate something, anything to support their case. After all, NYC has been infringing since the Tammany Hall days and the inception of the racist Sullivan Act.

    By my count, page 5 really lays it out, the question I’ve asked before. Though folks took it literally, my question was more figurative. If scotus finds in favor of the plaintiffs, who pays?

    Pays as in, the .gov At multiple levels, and courts got it so wrong, who is fired? Especially judges? If scotus agrees with clements point, who could be prosecuted? Violation of rights under color of Blue/law?

    Money would also be of interest, but .gov would let itself off on liability, as they do so often.

    I am not a lawyer, but it seems that when John q screws up, financial and sometime criminal penalties are waiting. Shouldn’t it be the same when .gov screws up?

    It somehow seems to me that the phrase "well-regulated militia" embodies the entire concept of training, which entails the transport of arms to a suitable facility for such training. It surprised me that this argument was never considered.

    Nevertheless, a heartening brief.

    I wonder what the NYC PD and top NYC Brass are thinking now after they have had a chance to read Clements replay to what they wrote? IMHO they deserve some time in jail or at least a chain gang..

    They don’t care either way. They really don’t care about their gun laws or keeping people safe. Sadly, they have already achieved their goal.

    This stuff is like a self licking ice cream cone to them. It takes them about 2 days ( or 3 bowls ) to dream up a law with a title that is the opposite of what it actually does. Then it takes years of legal proceedings and fretting by the good guys to fix it. Mean time it costs us a lot of money. We pay our (excellent) lawyers to work tirelessly to overturn them. And they use our tax dollars to pay their lawyers to defend them. We pay both ways. They win by forcing us to consume resources and they never lose a thing. Asymmetrical. Their ideas are popular whereas individual liberties are the opposite of popular.


    For example. Imagine the “Feed the worlds children act of 2019”. This law actually takes food away from deplorable children and feeds it to the rats in the village of the nice kids. This is a huge win. They hobble the deplorables by keeping them busy feeding their kids, studying the law so they don’t accidentally violate it and take their money for enforcement. Then they get even more money because the only reason the nice kids aren’t getting enough to eat is because the original law didn’t receive enough funding ( tax dollars ). Who doesn’t want nice kids to eat? Tax hike or divert the $ from something useful. Win or win. And they get a new law and funding stream for the “Save the worlds children from rats act of 2020”.

    3 appeals and 9 years later, it turns out that starving children in another state violates the commerce clause and runs afoul of the takings clause and finally gets overturned in a narrow ruling.

    They used our money to pay their lawyers. They got to look like hero’s because after all, they fed the worlds children. In spite of the selfish protests from the deplorables. They valiantly protected the kids from rats excessively breeding because of climate change (not because they were feeding them).

    Note the dates above, it took them 18 months to pass 2 laws and costs them $. During the time it takes us (9 years) to repeal the first one. We’re paying them $$$$$$. I wish my 401k was rocking those kinds of returns..

    There’s got to be a way to return symmetry to this system. Unfortunately it’s acting like an accelerating fly wheel. As long as we are funding our side and their side it’s just a matter of time before we run out of resources.

    Performance-based pay. Vote for too many laws that get overturned, and you are no longer eligible to run for elective office. For judges, get overruled too many times, and you either lose your job or at least are ineligible for pay raises.
