I wanted to share another rare bird I found. This is a G12/34 (also known as a G29Ö) These were modified Steyr Solothurn Colombian contract mausers that were build specifically for the Luftwaffe. Only around 30k were made, so these are generally very hard to find. This one is a very high SN and one of the last built. I got this from a good friend a couple months ago. All matching to the tiniest part. The only detraction is an ugly duffle cut (not behind a band.) I think these rifles highlight how great Steyr was quality-wise before the Nazis ramped up production to feed the war effort.
