WTB: Ruger Revolver Padlock

Need Help:

I will be picking up a new revolver next week, and need a Ruger Revolver Padlock (picture of one below) in order to pick it up. If I don't have my own, it will be an extra $30 for me to buy one from the shop.

Does anyone on here happen to have the black Ruger padlock that I could borrow for a day or buy?

I'm in Baltimore/Harford County.

Thanks!

I don’t believe that counts as an internal lock. You technically need an omega lock or gun tampon.

Yep, that padlock is not legal to pick up the gun, you need an Omega style bore lock.
If the gun has an internal lock then no bore lock is needed. (Donít know if Rugers have an internal lock or not)

Thanks for the info! I'll call the shop on Monday and double check to be sure.

You might be able to borrow one from another member here. They are caliber specific.

If the shop will let you use a padlock, get a long shaft one from ACE. Or stop by your local PD an pick up a "child safe" cable lock (your tax dollars at work).

As stated,"You technically need an omega lock or gun tampon.". A shop charging you $30 for the free lock included with new Rugers is F'd up.

Check the lock exchange, https://www.mdshooters.com/showthrea...=71938&page=81

If it is NIB the lock should be in the box. Not sure it meets md's law though either way.
