Is This Brownells Retro Rifle Banned in Maryland?

Not quite a AR-15 copy. It has the funky charging handle:
https://www.brownells.com/aspx/searc...975&pid=124179

Of course the AR 10 is good to go (at least for now):

Engage got a similar rifle approved, but the model and manufacturer were different https://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=221238

Maybe an FFL could submit the Brownells rifle to be evaluated and use the same info Engage did?

Its approved. It was deemed that the parts don't interchange.

I really do like that rifle. Or at least I like the top charge aspect of it.

wow - the Brownells web site says they can't ship the AR10 to Maryland. Hmm.

The Maryland State Police site does show the proto AR15 rifle as approved!! However - Brownells says they can't sell either to Maryland?

Comes with one 20-round Brownells aluminum magazine,
Because of the mag. Probably why they think they can't sell the other to MD as well

I thought the mag is the FFL's problem?? They will simply take it. Or does Brownell's have to remove it??

its up to Brownells to decide. You cannot MAKE them ship it. If they have decided not to unpack or trust your FFL not to sell it to you, that is their decision. Possible course of action, have your FFL email them saying its legal for them to receive.
