Anyone care to venture an educated guess on when the new Ruger Mk IV target pistol, .22 cal rimfire, will be approved for sale in MD? Thanks. bob

I asked my LGS and was told probably not until Spring. He said they probably couldn't even get one until then anyways.

I actually had the opportunity to fondle the Mark IV Hunter @ JLowes this past Friday. Really nice compared to my MKIII Target with just a push of the button to disassemble! Not sure if any dealers have requested to have them added to the roster yet.

It is on the agenda for the 10/20 meeting. At least the hunter model. Anyone know how long it takes to hit the roster after the board meets?

Have you seen the price on these things? $750 at my LGS. Pass for a price drop.

    Good lord almighty:whoa:

I'll deal with the takedown for the sane price of $300 on my mkIII

It's not all your dealer's fault. Looks like MSRP is $769 on the Hunter model:

    http://www.ruger.com/products/markIVHunter/models.html

    I guess they'll sell a few but that's a lot of coin.

The Buckmark Hunter is a lot less at $500.

I'd keep an eye out for used ones.
I'm not faulting them on the price. I'm faulting Ruger on this one. The guy at the shop thought they were overpriced too. Nobody is going to run out and buy one of these in lieu of their Mark 2 or 3. I think Ruger missed the boat on the pricing.

Hopefully we can get a confirmation on this from JLowe's. Not saying I don't believe the site, just wanna make sure it's not a typo. If that's verified, I'll be probably making my first JLowe's purchase

He had 4 of them when I was there. All available out of state until they are on the roster.

Fondled one last week at Cromwells, $605 I think. They did't say anything about it not being available for purchase?
