And second question I wonder how the BATF temp transport of SBR's to Maryland works if Maryland does have some crazy restrictions on it.......
So the 29" means Im guessing no collapsing stock or retractable stock that allows it to go below 29" as well...........
for a while just after FSA2013 became law BATFE was disapproving all F1 anf F4's until MSP clarified it to them and finally got them to approve SBR's >29". Even though BATFE was shown the MD statute, they still denied 5320,20's for >29" SBR's that had been approved before 10-1-13
it's the goobermint after all

anything over 29.0 will be approved. nobody in the history of the US has had their stamped NFA weapon measured

agreed. where are the cites for his claims? You know, guy, you spend an AWFUL lot of time here trying to convince people that they don't need to follow the law.
Must be at least 29" OAL in MD. Transport into MD and it has to be 29" OAL as well. Haven't filed for transfer into MD...so not sure if they will approve/deny anything under 29" OAL. They have no problem denying our Form 1s&4s for anything under the golden length.
I'm sure someone else will chime in with a bit more detail.
Same applies to a rimfire?
OAL is measured from the tip of the barrel (or permanantly installed muzzle device) to the end od a fully extended stock.
As long as it is at least 29" with the stock fully extended it is GTG. Even though it gets shorter when you collapse the stock.
