Get in between a field and where they are roosting, don't over-call and wait it out till after 930 and right up to the last minute to catch gobblers on the move when the hens are gone to sitting.

Shot my first turkey at 1155. Called him off his afternoon roost.

    Great advice provided by Outrider.

I also suggest going out a few early mornings before sunrise and just listen. You don't have to be intrusive and get into the woods, but sneak into a hidden edge somewhere and wait. As it gets closer to season, gobblers will start thundering off the roost just as it starts to get light out. While they do change locations, this will give you at least an idea as to where they like to be.
This is great advice too. I make it a point in the weeks just before the season and during the season to get ip a few minutes early and stand outside to listen after first light.
