My 338 project is finally complete. I picked it up from Walt last weekend. He rebarrelled the rifle, installed a new recoil lug, tactical bolt knob, blueprinted the bolt and installed a new muzzle device. Also cerakoted the barrel and action/bolt to match. Highly recommend Walt if you need a great Smith

    The build is:

    338 Lapua Magnum
    Krieger 26" barrel
    XLR Chassis
    Timney TE2 trigger
    Atlas bipod
Nightforce rings and Nightforce 5.5 to 22 x 56 scope
    Precision Armament M11 Muzzle Brake
    Remington Action/Bolt

Walt is very meticulous! Glad he got it working, he is a good guy

It didn't have issues prior, but I made this my project of constant improvement since I bought it as a stock Remington 700. The last important part was a better barrel and the other tweeks he recommended. I'm excited to see how it performs at the range with the latest improvements. He said its very calm now, comparable to a 308. Time to schedule a Delmarva day haha
