    OK,
So I've done most of my reloads with X-treme bullets 9mm copper washed. I"ve not complained about them. I've usually shot at 25ft indoors at paper or 25 yards outdoors at steel plates. I "kinda" feel that once I'm out at 25 yards that the accuracy suffers with these but have not actually done any accurate bench testing. I have only done my pistol reloads looking for velocity and any signs of pressure. I shoot them in a variety of Pistols.

I started thinking about accuracy out to 25 yards and if I should work up a reload combo using something other than the X-treme copper washed bullets (FMJ, HiTek coated, polymer other?) I like the price I'm paying for them (about 8 cents a pill shipped) so not looking to double the price. I have cast my own lead 9mm and coated with the nasty Alox, that's alot of work. I've also reloaded the blue polymer coated ones (don't have any left). I have yet to try the X-treme (or anyone elses) FMJ bullets.

What other choices can people suggest I look at?
I guess what I'm looking for is another "bang for the buck" choice that may shoot more accurate (assuming there is room for improvement at 25 yards or maybe 50 yards vs my Copper washed).
I'm in the process of getting a Pistol Caliber Carbine in the near future, so that comes into play.

    thx

Accuracy can vary quite a bit with the given load and barrel. I use the same Xtreme bullet, usually 124 or 147gr, and can get really good accuracy out of them, they are swaged/plated so relatively soft, and take cut rifling well. Some powders give me better results than others, and they shoot better in some stuff, most of mine are loaded with CFE pistol, and out of my P320 X5 or M&P comp pistol (5" bar-sto barrel) they can group tiny groups out at 25yds and beyond. I regularly shoot them out to 100 with PCCs, and have gotten pretty consistent 4" groups, about as good or better than any other factory or handload. The groups are a little looser out of my G19, even compared to a few other non-competition pistols, GLOCKs are the only pistols I have ever found a noticeable difference in accuracy with plated bullets vs jacketed, usually get the best accuracy with HAP / XTPs out of that.

I have had much better accuracy luck with extremely heavy bullets going slow than lighter ones going fast. Even from a rest, holding 1.5" at 25yds can be difficult with some of the latter. Check out 147gr or even heavier bullets; I absolutely loved the BNB Casting 160gr bullets @ 1.16 OAL backed by 2.6 TG. Switched off of them because I started using a comp and needed a different pressure curve, but those things kicked ass when it came to shooting soft, and reliably cycled a well-lubed gun.

One other consideration is that your barrel might prefer .356 diameter bullets in terms of accuracy. Some are a bit oversize and respond well to larger bullets.

Check out evergladesammo.com. I’ve had great success with their bulk concave base FMJ 9mm bullets in 115 and 124. Delivered to your door for just about 7 cents a bullet if you buy in bulk.

If you shoot at AGC I would be happy to give you a small bag to try out.

Lots of great input here. I ended up ordering some 115g and 124g FMJ from everglades. I found a bag of 124g fmj qty 100 Montana gold that I had not used and loaded those up this weekend to try this week. I used my formula for Bullseye powder.
I have a laser on my G17 to test the reload accuracy at 25yards and then also a red dot on a sub2k I can test from the bench. I'll try the sub 2k at 25 and 50 yards.
I don't have a pistol rest so I guess I'll rig something up with my bags.

125gn LRN or LCN backed by 5.2 Powerpistol will give you good results. ;)

I actually have some LRN cast bullets and some PP so I will give that a try!
Do you have notes on the OAL you used? I use 1.130 by default on RN unless a book says otherwise. Don't recall why I used that.

I have run Berry's plated for a decade or so. Working up a match accuracy load for the M9/92FS, they do just fine at 50yd. (Dropped in a KKM barrel with modified twist to keep them from slowing and going transonic about 40yds or so.)

Looking at their website I realized I haven't loaded for quite a while and probably need to get back into shooting more.

I use 1.125 with the RN (that is out of either a Lyman or Hogdon book and 1.100 to 1.125 with the TC bullets depending what will chamber. The pressure change is not an issue with Power Pistol.

so, I finally got to chrono my 115 and 124 fmj.
The 124 fmj got better consistent velocity results. (I like to use Bullseye Power for Pistols, well cause I had 2lbs of it and it drops consistant from my lyman 55 powder feeder)
Still need to do a 25 yard accuracy test w/ the PCC and handgun with red dot from a bag.
