Under the old paper system, it depended on when the FFL submitted the paperwork to MSP. If they did not send it in until the next day, the counter started then.
Also, some FFLs interpreted the requirements their own way.
The new system automates much of it. Get the email, pick up, simple.

Congrats. I've had 4 firearms go through the process and every one of them came through about 6am on the 7th day.

5:58 am. The June purchase of a Beretta APX was the eight day gun shop said it shouldn't have.This Beretta 96 7 th day 5:58 am

From my understanding, it only goes to the 8th day if the 7th day falls on a Sunday or a Federal holiday.

My .357 went through this morning at 5:58.. 7 days. Monday purchases take 8 days.. more so why Mondays suck.

Has nothing to do with the shop.. it's the MSP determining 7 or 8 days.
