So how is it handled when a person moves to MD and already owns a pistol that's not currently on the MD roster. From my understanding you have 90 days once you establish residency to register your firearms with MSP.

So for example, a person buys the new Glock 44 in WV and is a WV resident. They move to MD before the Glock 44 gets put on the roster. How does MSP handle a situation like this?

Anyone who moves from WV to Maryland is a fool. I’m one of those fools because I did it 8 years ago

    Juuuuust over the line
I'll second the above. To more directly answer the OP, the roster is only for purchasing pistols in MD, has to be on the roster. Already owned, you can register anything that is not specifically banned, within previous ownership dates, etc. and one more thing, don't move to Maryland.

Not a problem, as long as it's not Banned . ( Banned items generally have their own fine print .)

So I have to buy a “safe” gun yet some yahoo can move here from another state and bring his “dangerous” gun with him?
That triggers me. Doesn’t anyone care about the children?

You spelled "approved for peasant possession" incorrectly:D.
