    And if it comes down to a choice between something like that and no more legal face to face sales at all? A no-records-retained, no-serial-numbers-recorded BC on the fly without having to travel to and pay an FFL is pretty attractive.

    What's to prevent a face to face cash transfer wherein both parties pretend to query NICS if nobody is watching? Because you KNOW what will inevitably happen, human nature being what it is...

    Nothing's stopping that, obviously. But it does stop the Demanding Mommies from saying there's a "legal" loophole.

    I disagree. It won’t stop them.

    As long as the law allows you to purchase a firearm (of any type) or ammunition, that will be evidence of the existence of a “loophole”.
