    I'm convinced.

Need to find one that takes AK mags. Or are they all single stack receivers?

That Bakelight stuff/stock has to go though.

Really like the wood stock set a few picks back.

Looks GREAT. Im thinking about doing some modifications to my VZ as well. :D

    Very nice!

Thanks!! I've been trying to get the real wood furniture for a while. Finally found a decent deal on ebay. I was scared buying something off ebay that wasn't in the USA but it worked out well. I do have another stock but its wood. I was going to buy all the pieces individually but ended up buying the complete set instead.

The VZ58 & VZ2008 use their own 30 round double stack aluminum mags, not compatible with AK mags. I've also seen some 10 round mags from a couple sources, they are kind of pricey but would be nice for the range.

I've read somewhere on the interwebz about the single stack version but don't recall who built it or really anything about it. At any rate, the Century VZ2008 builds use a US-made receiver and barrel, with the rest of the rifle mostly made from Czech parts.

here's where I am at so far. wrapped the stock with paracord, put on a US Palm AK battle grip, and the CNC warrior knurled brake. Probably gonna get a vtacs sling and the bonesteel rail. Cant decide if I want a burris fastfire or a PA micro dot.

I think that's probably it's biggest drawback. vz.58 isn't perfect but I like a lot of its features, which are arguably improvements over the AK.

    Definitely on my wishlist.
