She has her Masters from Johns Hopkins in Clinical Counseling. Lost her job today. Needs something asap. No criminal history, or any BS like that. 29yrs old, reliable transportation, intelligent. Doesn't really care which field its in, she's fed up with the counseling community. we're in pasadena, but she will commute up to 40 miles one way.

19 results (MD & DC) using Clinical Counseling as key word.

problem with most of those jobs is they want you to be licensed. In maryland, you need to get a job in the field and acquire 3000 hours of supervised case work to get licensed. Another issue is with the economy the way it is, you have people that would normally qualify for higher positions taking the lower level jobs that would normally be for someone in my wife's position.

Start looking at the school systems. There are many positions that she could likely fill.

At worst, tell her to get her sub card in and substitute teach until something comes her way more permanent. $90-100 a day and you can work when and where you want to. It's probably the best job available for someone who is looking for full time work elsewhere because you can always choose to not work on the days that you have interviews.
