Hi everyone. I’m new here but have been a lifelong Maryland resident and 2a supporter. Just saw that Pelosi’s House of Reps recently passed HR 1585 which is “The Violence Against Women Act” that gets renewed unopposed every few years. Well this time they’ve added a it gun language that would effectively create a national Red Flag Rule. Basically says “any dating partner or former dating partner” can accuse you of being dangerous or a threat. A secret court would then sign off on confiscation of your firearms and you would be added to the “prohibited persons” in NCIC. With ZERO DUE PROCESS TO THE ACCUSED. I know our legislators have already screwed us in Maryland with our red flag law but this is ridiculous...

What's so friggin' difficult for people to understand that there's a purpose behind presumption of innocence and respect for due process? The very people who protest about the re-emergence of "fascism" or "autocracy" advocate for laws and regulations like those referenced here. It makes no sense and it will ultimately harm everyone. Fools.
Because the Dim's official Party Platform contains a plank to the effect of removing guns from everyone but the police and military (and, of course but unsaid, criminals). IT'S OFFICIAL PARTY POLICY! And they LOVE them any "SECRET" proceeding to do this.
