Which AR-15 magazines do you guys use? I plan to acquire a few 30 round mags while I am in AZ, but I've heard a lot of them are crap. I read that Brownell's is supplying the US Govt, so I assume that their's are good? Also, they have a choice of either chrome silicon or stainless steel springs for the same price. Is one better than the other?

Isn't it illegal to bring 30 round magazines into Maryland if you bought them out of state? Is that the same as trying to have them shipped in? The law says possession is not prohibited but transport is.

I think the capacity ban is ridiculous but I've stuck to 20 rounders and leave the 30 rounders in storage.

    Just curious.

Transport is not illegal, TRANSFER is.

You can buy as many as you want out os tate and bring them back as long as you don't intend to sell them (or give them away) to anybody in Maryland.

Thank you! I'll still stick with my 20s since they are easier to shoot with but now I won't worry as much about my 30s.

For you folks near Delaware, I bought my 30 rd mag at Shooters Choice in Dover. I think it was $24.95. Also picked up a 30 rounder for my AK-47.

Yes it's leagal to possess and transport. Just illegal to transfer, meaning you can't sell or buy them in MD. Just means more of my money will flow to Delaware. I already to all my major shopping there not to mention my losses at the track/casino :(

It's OK to own, possess, use or transport in MD....just not buy or sell.

I can see where the confusion is with the word "transfer". Transfer means to transfer ownership.

Buy them at Dulles all you want or hop over to VA Arms in Manassas if you can't make the show.
