I was under the impression that primers are already an issue. Granted, I only dabble in reloading and have only done 9mm... but, looking to expand due to the current ammo situation, seems that reloading components are already scarce.
I meant for me personally. I stocked up on 10k SPPs and a few K SRPs before all this started. Just going to be a matter of buying them as I can, I imagine.

I just reached out to all my contacts. No 9mm in the pipeline. If you can find it, buy it.

Supposedly I have some backordered, from April I think, with Sportsmans Guide. I know back in 2013 they honored them, I got an order of .223 that was on hold for almost a year.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I’ve heard at this point production won’t possibly meet demand before October. I’d be willing to try to do a group buy for MDS if I can find it but it’s too expensive for me to buy and sit on.

Primers and popular bullets are already hard to find. I’m seeing weeks/months backlog on 9mm bullets and while I’ve not personally looked for primers lately, the last time I was in a local shop they had no SRP, SPP at all (4weeks ago). Thy had LPP so I picked up some more for my 45ACP

I've been reading these same kinds of reports from other forums - from other parts of the country. I might go to the nations gun show next month just for the craziness factor :)

I need to take a look at my ammo pile and see what I can part with. I’ll buy more when the good times return.

My wife just got a gorgeous new Sig P238, and I can't find 380 anywhere! The range still has had some in stock when we've gone, but it doesn't feel like that will last.

a pipe dream it seems, but IF you can get it back to the <$200 case for fed or blazer 9mm 124g fmj and <$300 case for fed or pmc 55g fmj, i would prob be up for 5 cases of each. if not i'll prob just buy a case here and there and spend more time golfing and less time doing matches.

The ammo prices are definitely making rethink shooting Centerfire and investing in a 22. But I need to stock up on that as well

If you can find it for that price let me know I’ll buy as much as they have.

I work out in NOVA and live in MD and so whenever I get off work early I hit up some of the shops near my office and I just stopped in Cabela’s and they had a ton of shotgun ammo of all calibers but only in bird shot, didn’t see a single box of slugs nor buck. They had not a single box of 223 or 556 and only one box of .22lr (50 rounds not the bulk boxes) for almost $10. I went to Trojan arms in Manassas (I was looking for 223/556 and .22lr along with 7.62x54r and 7.5x55 Swiss) and they actually had some of the Remington thunderbolt 500 round boxes for $30 a box. I picked up 2-3 (all I had cash on hand for) but I felt that was a great price for decent ammo compared to Cabela’s. Plus they’re good people in there.

If anything, the current market condition has taught me to "diversify my portfolio". While certain popular calibers aren't available, less popular ones are. Less tactical ammo, while not widely available, is at least somewhat available with a bit of searching. In the last few days I was able to purchase a number of boxes of ammo for my .32 Winchester Speical and 45 colt just to name a few. My practice for years has been to buy what is available. Assuming we don't succumb to the socialist disease this november, Im holding out hope for things getting back to relative normal. Good luck to everyone in their searches!

I'm pretty terrified of how long the shortages will go on for if we get unfavorable results later in the year. I could realistically see sales double yet again if there is supply that exists to sell.
