Gunning for geese in Saint Margret's this morning . Made me look up on the DNR websight for early season dates. 9/1-/9/15. seems too early to hunt but bring on the fall weather !

Early season is "resident" goose season. If it ran later, it would be early migratory season. The point of resident season is to reduce the local nonmigratory nuisance population.
Gunned a bunch of doves over on the shore this afternoon, cheers to opening day!
Were you hunting on public land? I went twice so far in Cecil zCounty and have seen 3 dove. Going somwhere new Saturday, hoping for better luck.
No, it was private land. They are cutting a lot of corn and grain crops now, the hunting will get a little tougher...

No, just an observation both here in MD and in DE. I may be just noticing them more than in the past, but I don't think so. I will be hunting them in DE on private land.
