    Gunning for geese in Saint Margret's this morning . Made me look up on the DNR websight for early season dates. 9/1-/9/15. seems too early to hunt but bring on the fall weather !

    Early season is "resident" goose season. If it ran later, it would be early migratory season. The point of resident season is to reduce the local nonmigratory nuisance population.

    Were you hunting on public land? I went twice so far in Cecil zCounty and have seen 3 dove. Going somwhere new Saturday, hoping for better luck.
    No, it was private land. They are cutting a lot of corn and grain crops now, the hunting will get a little tougher...

    This is much better than the thread title would have led me to believe it was going to be.

    There seem to be more doves than I have seen in many years. I am not sure that is true though.
