Bought a house. The advice of “Don’t go to MD” is beyond useless to me not to mention VA will be as bad as MD soon enough.

As far as I can tell 16inch guns are legal as long they have less than two evil features and an HBAR, is this correct?

I have two lowers I purchased in VA in 2011 and 2012, are those grandfathered and able to be brought in the state? What documents do I need to prove that if any? I bought them direct from dealers that transferred them to me via VA Arms.

Additionally I have an NFA trust written up by a lawyer in VA. Is there a go-to attorney in MD for reviewing trusts to make sure it is kosher with MD law before I submit my 5320.20 forms for a permanent move? Thanks for the assist y’all.

Welcome to MDShooters, head over to the Intro section and say hello when you can.

    >=16" barrel, >=29" HBAR rifles are non-regulated currently. There is a process to register pre-2013 lowers.

This thread has a good bit of info specifically related to long guns.

Can't help you on the NFA trust, but I'm sure someone with more knowledge there will come along before too long.

If they are pre 2013, they are grandfathered and don't need an hbar, and also don't need to follow the 29" rule, iirc. Also a reminder that only .223/556 rifles, need to follow the hbar rule. Pistols and any other caliber are gtg, as long as you follow all NFA rules.

I thought there was a requirement to count fire a battery from the opposite side to keep the ship upright. Is that just a myth to fool us non naval types?

Never heard that. But look at the movement of that ship to port.

IANANT. (I am not a Navy type.)
