    What a gorgeous example. Congrats.

They just have one of the smoothest actions.

It makes me wonder, that if they could make a smooth action back 120 years ago, why not with other guns? My Swiss K31 is smooth, My Swedish Mauser is smooth, my Persian Mauser is also smooth. Many others are not. Could it be that they added slop for functionality when dirty like the Mosin or AK? That would be an interesting analysis of guns with tight tolerances and "smoothness" vs "ruggedness and reliability" vs say "accuracy and rate of fire".

Keep in mind the Krag is a even simpler action than most with just one lug.
