I recently acquired a Hungarian 35M rifle, and I believe the bolt head on it was replaced with one from a 43M. The bolt heads are interchangeable except the 35M is 8x56R while the 43M is 7.92x57 (8mm Mauser). As such, it currently cannot feed and cannot fire.
If there's someone in the are with a 35M or a 43M, I'd love to see the bolt and pull some measurements off of it. I'd like to see a 35M so I can potentially reproduce the correct extractor and ejector (and potentially even the bolt head), and I'd like to see a 43M to verify that I do have a 43M bolt head on mine.
I know it's a big ask in this day and age, but I'm happy to meet wherever and I'm happy to bring a six pack of your favorite style of beer.
