I think if I do get charged by a grizzly, I won't even feel the recoil or hear the blast.

I'm not looking forward to the first few rounds out of it. At least I can load some light 45 colts for practice though.

Have you ever thought about shooting a match with that gun? If not with barn burners, at least some hot 45 Colts. Keep them under the speed limit and try a USPSA match with it. Kind of eye opening.

I went to my LGS to put three guns on consignment and thought this one was too cool to leave in the store. It's a Colt Frontier Scout in 22 Mag.

The handles are a little loose, but when I tighten the screw it protrudes from the grip on the other side. I guess I'll have to make some shims or thin spacers for it. The gun is clean, the cylindar tight and the trigger is crisp but smooth. I can't wait to put some rounds through it.

Teeny little rubber O-ring, available at your local hardware store. Worked for me, anyway.

Nice pistols! How do you like or dislike the Pachmayr grips compared to the S&W Hogue grips. I’ve got a 64-7 that has the Hogue’s and I’m thinking of getting some Pachmayr like those. Any difference in the length or width?

Satipo: No time to argue! Throw me idol, I'll throw you the whip!

Starting a new project. Can anyone guess what it is? I will give you a hint, it is going to be a live fire replica of a movie prop.

The grips feel good in my hands came with no plans on changing them. I have a 1917 Colt in 45 ACP with wood grips and it a great pistol but hard to hold, I have big hands, the Stainless steel 38 spl is a little larger and heavier (35-36 oz) and well Stainless steel then the blued one (34.4 oz) Carbon Steel both were turn-in’s, think the blued one was correctional and the steel was Law Enforcement Service firearms. Deckard's blaster from Blade Runner? :D

    https://www.alloutdoor.com/2017/10/10/blade-runner-blaster-one-handgun-everybody-wants/

The Blade Runner Blaster or LAPD 2019 Blaster is based on two real firearms oddly combined together in a quite unrealistic format. The main configuration is the bolt action rifle action from a Steyr-Mannlicher Model SL in .222 Remington including their famous identity butter knife bolt handle. The second part of the contrived handgun is a Charter Arms Bulldog revolver. A side cover and a barrel shroud was added to hide the cylinder and hammer of the Charter Arms Bulldog handgun model. Other stranger modifications were added as well.
