Just so happened that I picked up a Remington 700 aac Sd in 308 the other day. I’ve been looking for this bad boy for a while now and finally pulled the trigger and got one to add to my collection.

My question about said rifle is about the muzzle break that I intend to put on there to accommodate my 7.62 aac sdn. I’ve noticed some people say the deep well flash hider is the one to use over the flat ended one.

I have one of the two on my ar10 in 308 and don’t get that weird ping noise that I’m seeing that the 700 does when fired.

    I too, have a 700 SPS AAC-SD.

    Nice rifle!!!!!!

    AAC-SD needing a muzzle brake????????

    Mine shoots like a "pooty-tat".
To me, the only thing a muzzle brake will do, is make it LOUDER for the shooter and by-standers.

I don’t need a muzzle break but I want to attach my suppressor to it. So I need to add that flash suppressor that allows me to ratchet it on there.

AAC has a deep socket version that’s meant for ar10 profiled barrels and and flat ended version for bolt guns. But I’ve read you need the deep socket one for bolt actions
