scope mount farther back

My daughter need to move the scope back on her Howa 1500 for the eye relief. I also found when hunting in my turkey chair I can't get a good mount without rocking forward and looking for a different mount for mine after the season.

I am looking for suggestions on different mounts to make the scope rings more adjustable. The two rings on each side of the bolt don't allow enough movement.

Get offset rings, similar to these

+1 on the offset rings. Depending on the scope and the platform, they can move the scope forward or backward. On one install, I even had both on the front part of the scope tube due to the limited amount of rail on that rifle.

I use Warne rings and love them. Once set, they never move.

Maybe you should think "scope with more eye relief".
