What a complete Sh^t show the democrat party has become-- products of the very BS education system they have spent their years and countless taxpayer dollars to redefine and implement. Chickens will come home to roost...

Agreed. 50 years ago even the Democratic Party would have expelled them and suggested they be tried for treason.

I'm actually starting to think push may come to shove here

It's more likely that a judge from a more conservative county in VA will place an injunction on enforcement of the new laws long before there are any collection efforts.

And if NSYRPA goes our way at SCOTUS, a Federal court injunction might serve as a nice backup to the local action. This is going to be a long fight, and the outcome depends strongly on the Republican Party getting its act together and putting up electable candidates (or even just any candidate in elections it didn't contest this year). Both parties seem to be in a race to see which can shrink its base to the smallest, most extreme core, as quickly as possible, leaving us independents who actually decide elections in despair for worthy candidates to vote for.

Its even more likely it doesn't get thru the VA senate where their nominal majority is a total of 2 seats. Wanna bet against 2 or more VA DINO senators?

They are counting their chicks not simply before they are hatched, the eggs haven't been laid yet and they are counting broilers

I'd give that a 50/50 chance. There will be extreme pressure, and probably dirty tricks, from the Party to pressure all their members to vote as a block on those bills. Threats against committee assignments, re-election assistance, and harm to their districts from other new bills in play, will all be held out as leverage to whip all the Dems into line. Just like in MD with FSA2013, which wouldn't have passed, at least in its final form, without strong intervention from Owe'Malley's office and Party leadership.

I think everyone knows it’s the Bloomberg backed Democrats. Bloomberg running for president and backing anti 2A unconstitutional laws may put him in a quandary. The VA Dems know their goose is cooked in passing any anti 2A bills. It is going to be interesting for sure...

    They need a new name.

    DSP. Democratic Socialist Party

Lets take a page from the demorats play book. We should all start referring to them as the Democratic Socialist Party. The more often it gets used, the more acceptable it becomes.

Eventually we can connect the parallels that are common with the National Socialist Party coming to power.

With a little luck, people will run away from them like scared rabbits.

You are right about the dirty tricks being tried. My theory was that fully half of Tommy Carcetti's bulk influence came by people thinking they were riding his coat tails down 95 and 50 to DC and that even all the dirty tricks wouldn't have buried us under this mess if he hadn't been running.

As far as withholding reelection assistance, I'd bet more than half of the rural delegates and senators would tell them to pound sand.

The session will be interesting for certain

National Socialist Useful Idiot Pedophile Party

    Man, I flat love it.

    It’s one ugly acronym though.

    PS. you forgot baby killers.

    Good entertainment, but -

Use their tactics where they produce positive results, not where they produce negative results. We are not fighting to retain our 30%, we are fighting for 16% of the undecided.

I'd suggest if they do pass this, instead of wasting time and money in the courts. They should call the bluff of the dems and see which is the first one to go door knocking.

They are too smart (insidious) to do a full ban. They want to make every semi auto anything seem like we see a pre-86 MG. And eventually when you can’t buy or transfer anything legally aside from an over-under, 50 years from now we are like England is now.

A full confiscatory ban (not just a registration requirement like NY / CT), would be the best legislation outcome for us, and the antis know this. There would be full throttle civil if not hot disobedience.

Luckily VA has strong RTKBA protection in its state constitution, and I doubt anything the socialist dems push through will survive judicial scrutiny.

Side question. What is the VA Supreme Court looking like these days?
