Ruger Single Six

Not sure if this is the right place, but I hope it helps somebody. The Gander Mtn in Salisbury has a "used" Ruger Single Six in the showcase for $250. It is an Unconverted 3-screw that looks brand new. Great price for a like-new SS, especially a 3-screw. Wish I had the cabbage, but sadly............... :sad20:

Wow, blued or stainless steel model? Good price irrespective. If I were 30 minutes away (instead of approx 3 hrs), I would go check it out.

I had the chance to buy one a few years ago and passed on it. Turns out I shot one not long ago and really wish I had gotten it. Now the HQL stops me. Great price on that one.

Are there c&r single sixes? I know some early Blackhawks are old enough now.

Edit: according to wikPedia, production began in 1953 so there should be some out there

In response to your post above, I just called to see if they would ship to an FFL in Frederick, and the guy at the firearms counter said that someone was purchasing as we were speaking on the phone. :thumbsup:

I believe there are C&R eligible single sixes but the one I wanted was newer production. And I can't Afford a nice C&R piece.

I'm glad it's gone, I was getting weak.
It was in absolutely new condition.
Just wish it was one of the MDS family.....maybe it was!

I have a new one on order. Supposed to be at my FFL on Monday. I'll post photos when I pick it up to make you a lot weaker. Ruger single-action revolvers are fantastic, no matter if Single Six, Vaquero, Blackhawk, etc. I've got a weak spot for Single Sixes and especially Blackhawks.
