I seem not to be able to delete a post. Is this a new feature?

I am on a laptop and Ipad and can't delete under either Using Explorer or whatever the ipad uses. I don't see it under "Go Advanced". I am not tech savvy so I understand I may just be missing something.

If so, how can one delete a post?

If not, why the new feature?

    Thank you in advance.

I've noticed the same thing, have no answer for you.

If it's PII stuff, try pm'ing a mod to have that post nuked?

I'd just tried in the W/C, and it worked. Have had instances where I couldn't in the open forums - glitch maybe?

    Odd.

I don't see Delete as an option for my previous post in this thread, glitch in the matrix??

Deleting in WC threads always works.

Deleting in open threads hasn't worked for what seems like a few weeks.

I figured it was a new change by the Mods.

That function comes and goes for me. There have been some posts where I have been able to get to the delete button, while others do not give me the option to delete the post.

I've asked about it a few times and it didn't get fixed, so it must be some kinda bug in the software. BTW, this is exclusively on a desktop computer using Windows 7 Pro.

Just weighing in. I have no option to edit or delete any of my posts in the WC or otherwise. I know I have in the past. The "posting rules" box at the bottom of the page says I should be able to edit my own posts, but not on Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Tapatalk.

    edit:
Ok, so it appears the timeout is 1440 minutes or 24 hours to edit a post. My last post (besides this one was 2d ago). When I used the edit link from this to try and edit another post, I got the notice that that was the set timeout.

You can delete a post by editing if it's done within sixty minutes.

After sixty minutes, the edited post/original content is still accessible when you click on the Reason For Edit line.

To make a post go away completely, after sixty minutes, it has to be deleted.

And I think the delete feature is usable after sixty minutes.

For some reason I thought it only disappeared completely if no one read it. Once it was read it will say the post was deleted instead of disappearing.
I know that's not what this thread is about but I'm throwing this out there.
