I have loaded up to 26.3 grains Ramshot TAC, with a CCI #41 primer, Lake City NATO brass, 55gr Hornady FMJBT bullets, COL=2.216", crimped with a Lee factory crimp die adjusted 1/2 turn past contact. I worked up to this from 23.0 grains TAC, everything else the same - every load functioned 100% in my upper (CMMG 16" 1/7 twist). Most accurate loads were 25.7 and 25.8 grains TAC. I did not chronograph these loads, though. I should, since I have a chrono now, I've just never gotten back up there to shoot these loads through it.

I have to go with Bolts Rock. After trying various powders, Varget has become my go-to with BL-C(2) close behind. Both drive 55 gr pills in my loads consistently accurate in my guns.

Mine always liked the 60gr V-max's on top of H335 - DI or gas-piston, they typically ran well, aside from my adventure into the unknown with charge weights. I liked H335 because it burned very clean in MY rifles, 2 passes with a boresnake and it shined like new.

    Varget

They are all extruded though. Not good for plant loading although varget is pritty skinny!not sure how well it would meter.

Tac is spherical correct? I've only read about it briefly.

That's my go-to powder as well. Win748 worked really well for me too. Using 55gr Hornady fmjbt in a S&W M&P15 sport.

    My M1A really likes 748.

I started getting away from W748, and going to H-335, when shooting IHMSA with 7mm TC/u.
The accuracy was very close. H-335 was a LITTLE bit tighter groups on paper, but, the same bullet (140 gr Sierra SPT) knocked the Rams down at 200 with no problem vs. W748. (Same powder charge, btw!)

I've got some 62 grain FMJ bullets coming to load with CCI primers
brass is LC and will start with 23.5 grains to see how it shoots.

    Thanks all.

I used both BLC(2) and W748 in two separate rifles while shooting prairie dogs this summer +-2000 rounds. I had previously loaded up some TAC with excellent results 1/2 to 3/4 inch 5 shot groups. Just shot to a different point of aim then the W-748. Buy whatever is cheaper.

    Good luck

    Jerry
