My wife and her family for 35 years openly mocked me for being politically "Woke" and a somewhat preparedness nut.

Well, the light switch went on for her in March-June this year.
See has drug me to rallies, got her HQL, she meets and mentors people who are politically oblivious, Buys "double groceries each, week, etc.

Something about a women with a pistol and well stocked pantry that gives me a wood,,,,

Once she sets her mind to something, stand back; just regret it’s taken as many years as it has but, just add her wokensss to the long list of stuff I have to thank the Leftards for their utter stupidity in cities across the US this past year!

People keep saying to me " I'm coming to your house." I'm like " No you're not". They just laugh and I don't.

My friends all thought I was nuts for buying more ammo, mags, (maybe a couple more guns) and body armor when all the riots were getting closer and closer. Then they would do the same thing, “if shot goes down I’ll just come to your house since you have all the guns and ammo” and I was like nope you should have prepped when I told you too months ago.

The Elkridge Costco has been consistently out of paper towels for the past two weeks now. Still lots of TP and more bottled water than you can shake a stick at.

I've been slowly adding more to the pantry all along and accelerated that a bit more this week after listening to talk on the radio of European cities facing lockdowns again. If Biden wins we'll be looking at the same thing.
Paper goods were lacking at the Fallston Walmart this week with the exception of TP- plenty of that. Cleaning supplies like dish detergent and bleach were low. Peanut butter, ramen and canned goods fluctuate but no really empty shelves like it was 6 months ago.

Don’t ya just think those Chinese bastards are sitting over there gleefully rubbing their hands together?

    Husband your stores...

PS. How are you going to stay warm and dry and hydrated? I don’t really want to know but presuming the utility companies will continue to provide is planning to fail.

They might be now, but they're also scared shitless. If trump wins, I'm not sure they can hold that place together another four years. Frankly I'm surprised they've been able to keep their false economy going as long as they have.

Unfortunately, if China falls apart, it will be bad for us too, and the regime will have little reason not to do something rash.

The best distraction for internal weakness/unrest is ambitious and bellicose external engagement

That recipe is tried and true. Even Betty Crocker lists it as top ten.

PS...don’t see Trump doing that shit, do you? That’s one way to appreciate his state of mind. He ain’t Askeered and he ain’t following “the rules”

The PRC already did something rash in collusion with the DNC.

This whole year has been a good wake up call for me in the area of preparedness--realizing how unprepared I am.

If the Antifa riots over the past few months are any indicator, I suspect they will turn it up to 11 on November 4. There will be another run at the grocery store like back in May for Corona but now Antifa will disrupt supply chains. I predict the strategy will be to riot so much Trump will deploy military. Then liberals and media will call him a fascist and seek his impeachment again.

I'm planning on 2 months without a grocery store. If I am wrong then I'll just work that food into my normal meal planning and won't have to go to the store much in February.

I believe ANTIFA and BLM leaders are trying to push the federal and local governments into another Kent State type of scenario...to claim the moral high ground. The leaders of both groups don't care about the useful idiots they employ...casualties are ok with them and a necessary part of any revolution...as long as it's not them personally playing bullet catcher.

If Trump wins re-election the rioting will continue if not get worse. If Trump loses the Left will seize on the momentum to try and push harder. I think in their minds Biden will be ineffective and feckless (an accurate assessment) and they will push for his replacement by Harris who far more Lefist.

We spent a lot of time, effort and money to be prepared. What makes these fuchs think they are entitled to our stuff? Sadly, there are way too many of them.

It's the communist/socialist/liberal way. My folks are off the boat from post WWII Poland. They *always* had a pantry full of food when they got to a place where they could afford it. I carried that forward and took it to a whole 'nother level.

    Be safe gents

If you haven't already, you should install an emergency hand pump set up in line with your indoor pump system so you don't have to carry buckets of water outside in the dead of winter.
I doubt the well will go up anytime soon.

Funniest thing is the have nots will ridicule all y’all now and if/when SHTF, THEN they will organize and DEMAND you share OR BETTER STILL they will organize ARMED COLLECTION.

    Ha.

*****Yup. There was a Twilight Zone episode about this mebbe 60 years ago, but it involved a nuclear attack incoming.. A prepper family that had a nice bunker were laughed at by the neighbors until the SHTF. The neighbors were ready to kill each other and the family to get in. Very ugly scenario. It finally ended when it turned out to be a false alarm, and Rod Serling came out smoking his usual cigarette.

Best to keep your mouth shut as to what you have. An armed collection coming to collect things for the "common good" would suck, and it could happen if things get really bad. Even with good prep, if enough people want your stuff - they WILL get it. Best they don't know you have anything.

Lots of people on both sides would get hurt and killed, and plenty of folks would just drop dead from the stress and anxiety. Plenty of suicides and depression now from Covid. Add major civil unrest and the stress of keeping your hoard, and your family safe? That would suck.

Preppers get a bad rap, but it's not just food prepping, and guns, etc... Prepping is also about what happens if the system doesn't crash but just slows down, but more and more people become poor and destitute. Welfare payments stop? Social Security goes broke, etc... Massive civil unrest.

Best to just shut up, hoard Spam, ammo, TP, nudie magazines, lotion, and kleenex and hope Amazon Prime still works!!!
