If you are new or are returning to firearms, I would highly recommend some training. I personally am returning to firearms from when I was a kid with a shotgun and took it upon myself to take the NRA Basic Pistol Course.

I took the course with Mr. Bryan Fletcher of Mid-Atlantic Firearms Training. He presented the information in a straight-forward and in-depth manner.

His attention to handling the handguns SAFELY at all times greatly impressed me. No doubt that was his intent so that I could learn the importance of continued vigilance in safe handling.

If you are new, I personally feel you would do yourself a great dis-service in not taking some training. You'll spend a few bucks, but the confidence and preventative handling you gain could save a loved one's life.

Ironically for the state, the passage of SB281 was the impetus for my return to firearms. Had the state NOT done anything, I would have been contented to allow other's their free exercise of the Second Amendment.
