Not really. It means that people who feel strongly in favor of the decision are willing to put forth more time and effort than the anti-gun groups; also I guess the Sun figures the issue is old news, and has stopped loading the responses to favor their preferred position.

The Sunpaper poll is still going on. Maybe they are hoping that if they keep it open long enough, they will get a different result.

I doubt if they will ever use the poll numbers. They didn't prove what they expected to it to prove. People want to be able to defend themselves and their families.
