    FYI:

I was having an FTE (stovepipe) problem on a new to me SKS.

Finally, I was able to find a burr in the rear sight housing, where the piston extension fits into. It was not allowing the piston extension to push back like it should. The bore of that housing is about the same diameter as a casing, and with a piece of 400 grit sandpaper, I was able to smooth things out to eliminate the problem.
Thought I would pass it along, I've had a couple of SKS's, but never heard of this issue.

Had a similar issue in '92 with an Norinco paratrooper. The rail for the bolt wasn't fully machined the very end so when fired the bolt would wedge open. Had to beat the bolt to get it to close. A little work with a file and a stone, worked like a charm. haven't shot commie stuff since then.

Had a similar issue with my yugo when I first got it. Replaced the lil selector gas valve up front and now she throws casings pretty far :D they smack pretty hard into the roof at DSC

The gas selector on mine is a little tight, therefore hard to change, but I'd rather have that than too free, and not having enough pressure for a proper ejection.
This gun was a rescue from "Bubba", so I have done a lot of work to it.
