So I have been shopping around lately for a fairly affordable 1911 now I know you get what you pay for but I happen to stumble upon a 1911 made by Desert Eagle which I had no idea that DE even made 1911’s I myself don’t own any DE products so I was hoping that anyone that owns this particular gun can educate me on it so I have a better idea on if I want to purchase this firearm or not thank you.BTW its Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 G Model.

I don’t own one myself but have been looking at a few in the past 1-2 years. Particularly the DE 1911U. Similar to a Colt Defender with a 3” barrel. Fit and finish from what I’ve seen were great. Pricing around $750 last I checked.

Never owned DE 1911 but handled them and they felt really nice for a mid-range 1911. I believe they are made by BUL in Isreal. Bul used to make polymer framed 1911s for Kimber if i remember correctly. It was a rebranded BUL M5

Supposedly punches well above its price point - Trigger is claimed to be excellent. If you shop on GB you can find them in the $600 zone. Lots of new ones for sale very few used. You can interpret that anyway you want but they weren't selling I'm sure DE would drop the lineup.
