The CMMG used bargain bin AR-15s have been mentioned on this site before but has anyone ever bought one? At $570 the price looks pretty good if you are willing to put up with a little exterior wear. Not so good if they are shot-out and trashed. They have them in 16" M4 along with HBAR 16" and 20" configurations. I'm thinking about making the leap to one of the HBAR 16" versions but would like a little feedback from someone that has already bought one.

That is a great deal for a ar. they are a top notch company. Everybody that has posted on at ar15.com has gotten good ones. If i didnt have 2 ar's already , i probaly would jump on this.

Thye are now selling chromed lined ones now for 625$

Also Del-Ton sell kits for 465$ (starting)Upper complete -add rec. (100$) and you put the lower together.

In my opinion, considering that you can get a brand new Olympic AR for $599 plus shipping I think I would do that instead. At least then if you're not happy with it you can return it for another or get it fixed. Buying something "as-is" provides no such luck. I don't know, but those rifles look like police trade-ins to me. I wouldn't pay that much for one.

    New Reciever: 110
    New Upper: 475
    New Lower Parts Kit" 40
    New Stock: 50

So for ~ 650 I can have a brand new gun.....thats a no brainer for me

    John,
Ar15.com has some reviews and pics in the equipment exchange section. They seem to be all positive.
