Heres one of mine. Glock 22 with a stainless guide rod and some trigger work. I put the TFO truglo's on mine. The night sights aren't as bright as a night sight only set. But they are sufficient and the day time glow feature is worth it. I like it alot more that standard glock sights. The light/laser is the Sig Sauer one. It works very well. This is my go to piece next to the bed so its kind of ready for anything.

And here I've been beating them to death all this time...

BTW, what's the difference between a 17L and a 34? Is it just that the 34 is ported?

    G17L is a 6" barrel G17 - same-same except barrel length.

G34 is a 5" barrel G17 PLUS 3.5lb connector for a "better" trigger pull PLUS extended mag and slide releases PLUS adj rear sights.

The difference is the G17L has a longer barrel but the G34 has "competition" parts.

    BTW a G35 is a G34 in 40S&W and a G24 is a 6" barrel version of the G22 in 40S&W or a 40S&W version of the G17L.

G17L's and G24's have a home in USPSA shooting Limited and Limited 10 as minor and major calibers respectively. G34's are pretty common (IMHO second only to G17's) in IDPA but not as common in USPSA except in Production. G35's are less common in IDPA but more so in USPSA.

I've seen factory versions of the G24 that is ported (good base to build and Unlimited USPSA gun) but I've not seen factory ported version of the G34/35 or the G17L. They may exist but I've not seen one. I suspect aftermarket ported barrels can be had.

    Clear a mud?

The G17L also come with what used to be called a 3.5 lb connector. Glock no longer calls it a 3.5 lb connector and renamed it to a 4.5 lb connector.

Both come with adjustable sights and extended mag release buttons.

The 34 comes with an extended slide stop lever, the 17L has the standard lever.

I was told in Glock armorers school that Glock produces runs of 1500 G17L's every three years.

I thought about posting pics of my G20C with the TLR-2 but decided I was too lazy to open the safe or hunt for a camera. Hell, I haven't even posted pics of my Delta Elite and it looks a hell of a lot more interesting.

I did not know the G17L had the "3.5lb" connector, adj sights, and extended mag release but I should have known that, my G24 has all that.

1500/3 years would explain the "rarity". How about the G35 / G35 / G24? any production numbers there?

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

If you buy a new production g17l/g24/g34/g35 glock the box will state it has a 4.5 lb conector. However it is the same part number as the 3.5 lb connector. Glock received complaints that the connector wasn't truly 3.5 lbs so it was more cost effective for them to rename it 4.5lb than to do more r&d. Glock also produces a run of 1500 G24s nevery three years. They no longer produce the G24c. The G35iG35c is produced every year.

All this info was covered in my armorers course last year. Things may have changed since then.

Mine came with the extended slide stop out of the box. Bought it two years ago from Continental brand new.

They are Meprolights part #10226 for Glock G26/G27. The extend the sight radius a little and are snag free. I have a green front/orange rear.

Ah ok, the Meps on the G34 don't extend back as far. Looks like their sights for the subcompacts do. Well that's an easy decision when I get the G26!

My Austrian made 17L was manufactured in Dec 2008 and came with the standard lever. Is your frame stamped "Made in Austria Glock Inc. Smyrna, GA" or just "Glock Inc. Smyrna GA"? Glock has started making large frames in the USA. There is a point system that Glock has to comply to on imported firearms. It's possible that the Austria made frames do not have the extended slide stop levers installed to comply with this system. Did you know that all imported glocks have adjustable sights installed to comply to the points system? They are removed at the Smynra, GA facility as soon as they get them and replaced with standard sights unless they are standard configuration for the firearm.

    Can you drop a 10mm 6" barrel into a model 34?

I'm thinking about the same thing. Check these out
    a Glock 20 longslide ( 10mm) and a Glock 21 Longslide ( 45 ACP)
Conversion parts are available , It just takes time, effort and a big chunkachange.
