Hopefully this does not change. My wife has been itching to get a permit. I'm for her getting a permit as I believe it is her right to carry. She has almost been followed home twice in the past year. I can not always be with her, as I'm a LEO, so at least she now could arm herself when she is not with me. Now let's see what liberal socialist crap the General Assembly tries to pull now.

What are the chances of an emergency stay?

Unknown and impossible to guess. What we do know that MD has not yet asked CA4 for an emergency stay. It's also entirely possible that MD never files the motion for an emergency stay. I'm not an expert, but there's nothing that says MD has to ask for a stay. It's merely their option to do so.

So will the forms change, or do I just use the current form avaialble from the State Police website?

And the big question is... Should I provide a "Good & Substantial Reason"... or leave it blank?

That is my thought. I think the state will change the forms and require new apps from everyone. This will buy them time to implement a training requirement or scheme up some other roadblock. Don't believe that Gansler and O'Malley will go down without a fight.

I'm sure that maryland will request an OHZ NOZ!!! stay.

    :omg:

I just hope that CA4 gives careful consideration to Judge Legg's denial of the stay. (I'm certain they will)

My question is what about people like my Brother?? Sent the app, had back round check done, went to the interview and 97 days later, he still hasn't heard a word. At least last time we spoke 2 days ago. So, what's the public opinion on guys who are in this position?

Wait....................I am in the same situation. 14 days till it's official, so expect nothing for the next few weeks. After the 14 days, it could take a week or 2 to just print/make the permits, then mail them out etc.

am i correct in reading that if you have an issue with your car registration, you've got to get that sorted out before they will grant you a carry permit?

I literally have tears in my eyes. Please tell me what to do. I have the application all writen up. All I have to do is go grab my prints and photos. Should I do this now? Or wait until we hears something from the court of appeals? I'm so confused, but so happy at the same time!
