 Now if we can only get the fine citizens of our state to stop voting by party and start voting by issue we would be better off. I still say we should toss out all incumbents this next election. If you cleaned out a fair amount of our State Legislature and instilled new bodies things could be very different for us.

It's not going to happen. Everyone simply needs to register as a member of the Evil Party, then there is a chance to steer the election towards non-socialist candidates.

That's part of the larger problem with progressives. They don't care about the constitutionality of something if they "feel" it is beneficial to the proletariat.

The biggest obstacle standing in their way is the U.S. Constitution.

    Right, again. :sad20:

I feel that if we don't do something, one day they will achieve their goal.

The time is nearing where we will need to do something drastic. I fear that it is already too late. The US annotated code is something like 54 VOLUMES of flim-flam and the tax books take a doctorate to understand, and a flat-bed truck to haul around. "We the people" have lost so much of our power, lately, that I'm beginning to doubt that we're going to have enough left to take our government back. SO MANY are so brainwashed and "not awake" that it's looking grim.

I laugh when the media does the dirty work of the government and then cry crocodile tears when one of their own gets arrested for filming something they don't want you to know about. Yet, they've been instrumental in allowing it to get this far, in the first place.

    Yea... It's like that.

The best part is that people are so ignorant of history that they will never understand the rights that we used to have, and the government that didn't exist in the past.

We didn't have income tax 100 years ago.

You could have an automatic weapon shipped to your house 100 years ago.

the misguided desire people feel to own handguns for self defense
would be greatly diminished if they did not feel threatened by widespread
    handgun ownership.
Because of course, if guns are outlawed, all the criminals will immediately stop using guns, and we'll all be safe. :sad20:

Curran meant well. Like the old (lousy) joke goes, 'so did Hitler'.

    "FEE state"
I'm no lawyer, and don't play one on TV, but couldn't the SAF use Curran's supposedly state-sponsored writings on the restriction of rights to our benefit in a court case?

    . Yep.

Sad that the majority of news stories involving guns are about accidents or criminal use. Overwhelmingly guns are used to deter crime and protect people. You almost never hear reported when a would be home invader/rapist knocks on a door and finds an armed home owner. I wonder how many close calls happen before the criminal finds someone sufficiently defenseless to become their victim.

Too many people walking around with a false sense of security. If someone decides to not be aware, avoid problems, and be prepared to defend themselves, I can accept that and respect their right. But for these sheep to deny your right to take a different path and not be a willing victim, that's wrong, and can not be accepted.

    What he really meant:

...the...desire people feel to own handguns for self defense
would be greatly diminished if they did not feel threatened by widespread
    [criminal activities].

    HaHa very true...

Gotta hand it to the guy though, he's predicted quite a few events that have happened.

He predicted the death of Seal Team six in a helicopter before it happened....

    Lucky guess..??

No, sounds like a rehash of the Iran hostage rescue fiasco from 1980.

It should come as no surprise but many ideas for MOM's gun ban come straight out of this ode to gun elimination. Fingerprinting features prominently.

The goal is clear, we are not to have guns, even if they have to strip your rights away an thousandth of an inch at a time. They will not stop until they have gotten rid of every LEGAL gun.

What will that leave, ILLEGAL guns... Logic 101, moron alert.
