There are definitely places still selling / shipping these to MD. SWIM has purchased them in the past but cost-wise, it's more effective to find a shop / show in VA or PA. (VA - the closest PA shop charges $25-$40 for magazines which is extremely overpriced and they know it [Freedom Armory])

For what it’s worth, if you don’t want to travel to another state, we do carry 10-round Hexmags that are the same size as 30-round magazine. It has a factory plug inside. $11.99 each.

We also carry 30-round springs for those in need replacement springs because they got worn out.

    Welcome aboard jhow85.

Perhaps go to the Inntroductions forum and post up about yourself, so we can know you better:

Your five posts in the two threads you started (Are magazine "rebuild kits" legal to order over 10 rd size in MD? / Best FFL transfer fees in Baltimore county/City?) are somewhat terse, and while they don't smack of troll on their face, they yield little good info about you.

We are a very friendly bunch (sometimes), but can also be cynical and suspicious. I hope to hear more about you, and see you contribute.

Just head to VA or Pa to any of the gun shows. Purchase the mags of your choice and return to the Socialist State known as Maryland.

Perfectly legal, no need to look over your shoulder for an overzealous AG.

Either the collection is "parts" which can be shipped here but not assembled as that would be manufacturing, or they are completed mag's, which can't be received in state at all. Either way you must go where MD does not have jurisdiction to receive or manufacturer the mags.

There is a gun store just outside of Gettysburg PA , I believe, called the Alamo. It has a buttload of high capacity magazines and will order stuff for you if you pay for it first and then go pick it up. They did not have VZ58 mags, however.

Beware of the cheap non-PMAG 20 round AK mags, however, as they do not want to work right out of the bag. I think they may need filing or sanding to obtain a proper fit. The prices seemed OK to me but I was not really thinking too much about price at the time.

jhow85 signes up 10/13/2018. Creates two sketchy (at best) threads, and hasn't been back since 10/14/2018.

    Eschewed creating an introduction thread.

Dude, forums exist so that people can ask questions.

Every new account that comes here and asks questions isn't part of some grand conspiracy to "get" us by making us look bad or something. I am sick of the whole thing where every time someone signs up for an account and asks a question they get two people trying to answer the question and thirteen people crapping on them for being a "troll," or a "mole" or whatever. If we keep doing that, no one is going to want to come here, and forums like this can really serve the purpose of showing people that a) guns aren't bad, and b) gun people aren't bad if we don't act like dickheads to the new folks.

I apologize if I'm being combative here, and I don't even mean this as a personal affront to you or anything. I just really think we do ourselves a disservice when we crap on new people who are asking questions.

You're 100% correct. And I took no offense.

But I didn't dickhead it up immediately, I asked fairly nicely (and even Pmed) to no avail.

And his threads were a bit sketchy, not typical 'newbie' threads.

I try to welcome newbies, as I have been a newbie here, and in life events

    This all IMHO.

And don't call me 'Dude'. :D
