Some good sika pics. Stag looks like a hog. Would be a good one to bow shoot if he sticks around into October.

Starting to see some daylight activity with some smaller stags. Mostly early morning and last few minutes.
Hope to get some into some mid day movers when BP comes along.
Maybe in a week or so some of the larger ones will be happening and let their guard down, I’m running out of patience.

I’ve barely been out at all. What is weird is that last year was my first year bow hunting and I got lucky first day out, second day of the season. I went out for 3 hours opening day and it was humid as hell and hot and I got bitten by a trillion mosquitos and I’ve either been way to busy or the weather has been total shambles.

And I feel like half of the hunting season is over with and I’ve barely been hunting and I’ve had no success and I am a failure.

Reality, the best hunting is still weeks away.

Fingers crossed the stars appear to be aligning and I think I can get in to a stand for the later half of this Saturday and get out Monday to still hunt around Patuxent and do some armed scouting for early muzzleloader.

Sorry to be somewhat off topic. I am still hoping to get out to Nanticoke for late gun season and hopefully finally get a Sika.

Saw a pic on Facebook of a solid eight point stag that was harvested last week. I’ve never seen above a six in my memory. Awesome stag for sure!

Top two pics are the same stag. So far great 2018 hunting season.

I’ve had a cold this week and was just to much of a bitch to get up for the hour and 45min drive for the morning hunt and I sure do regret it now LoL

    Good luck this year!

Not on the hooks yet and now its November!

Maybe the marsh will get just a hard enough freeze by the end of this week so he cant walk in it or I can get my heavy ass out there to jump some off the lumps. (probably not a good idea anymore)

Been a couple of years since I can remember walking on hard ice during regular firearms mid shore.

Probably it will only be cold enough just to freeze a little bit though and just enough to make them come out or get caught heading in from the woods daylight time. Either way should be easy to hear where they're going.

    Maybe.......:innocent0

Isn't that picture of the one in the pond great? Hope you get him!
