TSA agents found the .40 caliber rifle in a 22-year-old Hagerstown man’s carry-on luggage when it went through an X-Ray machine, according to the TSA.

The gun was not loaded, and the man claimed he did not know it was in his luggage because his mother packed his bag, according to the TSA.

His mother will probably throw him under the bus. But...true or not...it makes no difference. It was in his possession and anything else doesn't matter. It's not a matter of intent...the possession is illegal regardless of intent.

He'll be on a list forever when he tries to fly anywhere...he may as well start buying train or bus tickets from now on...plus he can keep the photo of his Key-Tec as a souvenir of what it looked like.

Slightly off topic, but I looked at the photos that were linked in the Sun story. If this picture shows a real TSA form, they have other issues to worry about. Check out the 5th column, titled, "Estimated $ Value Cirlle One" Nice proofreading. Then if you look at what they give you to choose from in that column, "$250 < or > $250", um....they both mean the same thing. :sad20:
