IF 4th Circuit, excuse me... Circus .. doesnt issue an emergency stay (which there is a 99.9% chance that they will) then you can get a permit. somehow... i dont trust the most overturned appeals court in the nation.

Um, that would be the 9CA, not the 4CA even by a long shot.

I will venture a guess that Maryland will not file for an emergency stay w/ CA4. My reasoning is that another denial will likely be the last nail in the coffin of their appeal's chances.

    Just a guess.

So now I'm going to wait for the Utah permit to come in and then apply for an MD permit.

    Good work to all involved.

Mr. Hansel, all of us owe you a debt of gratitude. The fight isn't over as you well know. We look forward to the briefs and arguments at CA4.

Does "research" on the forum count toward your billable hours? On second thought, perhaps you shouldn't answer that. ;) :innocent0

I think Judge Legg has done quite a bit more than just lift a stay and effectively make MD shall issue in 12 days. No, I think he's gone and done something completely unintentional. It may be hard for you to realize it now. However it appears the good Judge has restored in us, faith, the abused. :D

MARYLAND- A federal judge has lifted a stay on his ruling that a portion of Maryland's gun permit law is unconstitutional.

According to the Washington Post, in two weeks Maryland residents will be able to carry hand-guns without having to show a good and substantial reason.

Meanwhile, the Maryland Attorney General's Office has filed a notice on plans to appeal the March ruling.

The case was brought by the second amendment foundation in 2010.
