Agree on the insane price; but I bet they still sell them.
I'm still blown away at how unbelievably lightweight these things are. I've got a 603 clone in my safe (genuine 603 upper and legit Colt furniture), and it's one of my favorite rifles to shoot irons with.

For sure. Lots of folks like having "the real deal". I just like the looks, function, and light weight, so I am happy building a clone. Hopefully this panic buying insanity is over by the new year. I would love to build another clone with some Brownell retro parts.

The last lower I built out (2013) was a replica of a M16a1 pencil barrel in honor of what my Dad was issued and photographed with in 1969-70. Took me awhile to find a Colt M16a1 upper but I did and slapped it on. I think it’s about time I shot it- it’s been sitting for 7yrs waiting.
