Long term storage for rifles

What is the best way to store in a long term fashion long rifles of all types .

I have been thinking of packing some up and storing . Kinda thinking along the lines of wrapping them in treated paper or spraying them first .

I used to store my guns in an unheated attic in Bowie years ago, never had a problem. I disassembled them and sprayed them with LPS 3 and ran a patch soaked with LPS down the bore. I wrapped them in brown deli paper and taped them shut. Some were up there for five years and I never had any rust. It cleans off pretty easy with warmed mineral spirits and a stiff brush.

How about cleaning/oiling them and then vacuum sealing them with a vacuum sealer on a roll?
If you supply the plastic rolls, I will seal them for you. They should be safe in a cedar chest for decades that way.

Sealed box, oil, socks, desiccant. May not be perfect but your best bet.

Take a page from the left.... they want to make sure that undocumented aliens have good housing and are properly cared for... I'm taking the same approach for any undocumented firarms.
