Generally, yes. They were not a true 1911 copy. Certain parts do not interchange and those parts are now getting scarce.

I have an old Llama 45 ACP (1911 Clone)
It does NOT use 1911 magazines, they will fall out of the gun. The magazines are just a little wider.
If you hold it up to your ear and shake it, it is a rattle trap.
Did I mention I don't shoot it anymore?

How exactly does this statement make them Junk?

Excuse me for not detailing the issues. I noted that they were not a quality gun and several additional short comings.

The big issue was the steel.

I would buy a Star or Astra before I would buy a Llama.

I had one 15 years ago and it was horrible. As stated above the mags would not hold in the gun, it was very inaccurate at 15 yards and generally scary to shoot! That was my first pistol and first gun lesson learned.

Depends. I've found for most gun owners, whatever they have is the best thing possible, and anything they don't own is junk. YMMV.

Oh I Owned it briefly...there are other pistols I dont recommend just on personal preference such as glock...I'm just not a Glock fan...I'm a Sig Fan....but the one NIB double stack llama I owned was worthless...and another friend had bought a single stack 45 around the same time agreed they were POS and he too had traded it back off right away.... Now there may be other Llama's that may be nice guns but I'm not willing to endorse any...

When ur llama gets stolen ill take it off some 15 yr old, hood kids love llama. All the ones ive handeled were pure junk, but I haven't personally owned one so I cant comment to much. For that price id call Lou and have him ship u a glock.
