First timer here. Freestate sent my paperwork in on 09/14/15. I filed it as a trust, not an individual. I should hear back any day now right? It was for a suppressor.

Yeah I would suspect any day now. In fact you could call and see if it got approved yet as it has been at least 5 months. A lot got approved but mailing them back got delayed due to the snow storm a few weeks back.

5 months is not a long time with the ATF. If it goes past 6 start calling.

The recording on the their answering service says the current wait time is 5 months. If it is past that then stay on the line and chat with a customer service rep.

Approved!

Just got the serial from Freestate today and gave the ATF a call. They said I was approved on Feb 11th and to give 30 days after that to see the paperwork come back. Hey at least I know I'm approved! I submitted paperwork mid-September.

It would've been cool to get back before my camping trip this weekend but at least I know I'll have it by my birthday in March.
