    This is one of many weapons left to one of my DIL by her grandfather.. So far I’ve been able to determine it started out as a K98… then became a captured weapon because of the Prebuzence 44 stamp. It appears to me that this rifle has been scrubbed a few times… I tried to look at various Mauser sites to determine the year built since where you’d usually find the date has been wiped out… looks to me that most of the parts are marked with 797 or G797 as you’ll see in the pics… I hope to have this in my hands this week so I can inspect it more…pic heavy.. Your thoughts please

    Post war Yugo rebuild. They took captured rifles and rebuilt and remarked them, I had one once, great shooter.
