Harbor Freight has ammo boxes on sale for $4.99. Limit 4 with the coupon.

Looked at it today, seems like a good box.

It is the same as the Winchester and Plano boxes. But 2 ???s

Is it the same or similar polymer?

Does it have the rubber O-ring in the lid to keep it water tight?

    This is all I got...

"This rugged field box protects ammo, camera equipment, personal electronics and more. The ammo box is constructed from heavy gauge polypropylene for dent-proof, rust-proof storage. The reinforced lid resists moisture, latches securely and can be locked shut for safety.
    Water resistant tongue-and groove lid
Holds 6-8 boxes of standard ammo
    Corrosion resistant bail latch
Pre-drilled for padlock (lock sold separately)
Heavy gauge polypropylene construction with reinforced lid"

Doesn't sound like there is an o ring. I didn't bother opening it in the store either.

That says that it probably DOES have the O-ring in the lid. But without actually checking...

I didn't think any of those small plastic boxes had gaskets on them?

    Where they send me.
The HF's I bought had the o ring in them as did the Plano's I got at Wally World. I opened them to check in both instances and to make sure they look like they seal alright.

All the small plastic ammo boxes I have are the result of various ammo deals that were packaged in the box. I pulled a few out last night and was surprised to see that they had gaskets. I still wouldn't trust them to be airtite though. On mine the gasket is pretty deeply recessed in the molding of the lid which is why I guess I never realized it had a gasket.
